Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 23, 2026

This page explains what information Lanze Atlas collects when you visit, what we do with it, and what choices you have. The short version: we don't ask you to sign up, we don't collect personal information directly, and the only data about you that ever reaches our servers is the standard web traffic information any website receives.

Information we collect

Lanze Atlas does not have user accounts. You don't create a profile, log in, or submit personal information to use the site. The only information we receive when you visit comes from your browser making standard HTTP requests: the page you requested, the time of the request, your IP address, your browser type, and the referring page. This information is used to keep the site running, diagnose problems, and apply basic rate limiting against abuse.

Quest Master player and creator data shown on the site is collected from Quest Master's own publicly available level service. This data is about in-game accounts, not real-world identities. We don't link in-game accounts to real people.

Cookies and similar technologies

Lanze Atlas uses a small number of cookies for the following purposes:

  • Site preferences — a cookie stores your dark/light theme choice in your browser's local storage so it persists between visits. This never leaves your device.
  • Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages get the most traffic, and where visitors come from. Google sets cookies to do this. We do not see individual users; we see aggregated counts.
  • Google AdSense — once advertising is enabled, Google may set cookies to serve ads. Google may use these cookies to show personalized ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

Third-party services

The following third parties may receive information about your visit:

  • Google — for analytics and (once enabled) advertising. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Railway — the cloud hosting provider where this site runs. Standard server logs (IP, request path, response code) are kept temporarily for operational purposes.
  • CDNs — we load Bootstrap, Font Awesome, and similar libraries from public CDNs. Those providers may log requests for the assets they serve.

Your choices

You can block cookies in your browser, use private/incognito mode, or install a privacy extension. Most of the site will work fine without cookies; only the theme preference and analytics will be affected.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another region with comprehensive privacy law, you have rights under those laws (access, correction, deletion). Because we don't store personal data about you ourselves, most such requests should be directed to Google for analytics/ads data. For anything related to this site directly, contact us at [email protected].

Children

Lanze Atlas is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the site evolves. When it does, the "last updated" date at the top of the page will change. We won't make material changes that affect already-collected data without good reason.
